Three sets of markings for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk VB from 1941 to 1943, of RAF squadrons with Polish and British crews, scale 1:48.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Vb was the most widespread form of the Spitfire of the middle of the war. Its mark of recognition is a wing with two 20 mm cannons and four machine guns, completed on the later machines by an intake filter under the nose. The sheet keeps to the period when these aircraft moved from the defense of the islands to offensive sweeps over the occupied continent, and it offers three particular examples.
The opening aircraft carries the codes ZF-H and the serial AB968, belonged to No. 308 Squadron RAF and in October 1941 was flown by Sergeant Tadeusz Schiele. The second variant, ZX-A with the serial EE781, comes from No. 145 Squadron RAF and falls into July 1943, that is into the Mediterranean deployment. The third subject, WX-T with the number W3902, belongs to No. 302 Squadron RAF and captures February 1943. So side by side stand an aircraft from home defense, a machine from the offensive period and an example from an entirely different front.
The round national insignia on the wing of a Spitfire lie close to the trailing edge, where the section falls away quickly. If you lay the motif on dry, a light rim will appear on the edge once it is dry. It pays to work with plenty of water and to go over the edge with a damp brush once it is settled. The model of the aircraft and the shades of paint are obtained separately.
