Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Tempest Mk.II fighter in its late form, in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. This is the ProfiPACK edition, which adds pre-painted photo-etched parts, self-adhesive painting masks and a generous decal sheet with several marking options to the quality plastic, aimed among others at the postwar users in the RAF, Pakistan and India. The model can be built in detail straight out of the box.
The Tempest was a British low-wing fighter developed from the Hawker Typhoon, notable for its high speed at low and medium altitudes and for its heavy armament. While the best-known Mk.V was powered by the Napier Sabre H-24 engine, the Mk.II version received the air-cooled Bristol Centaurus radial engine, which gave it a different, more robust nose. The Mk.II did not see significant action in the Second World War and made its mark above all in postwar service.
Cut the parts off the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Apply the pre-painted photo-etched parts to the cockpit before closing the fuselage and mask the glazing with the masks provided. Apply primer and the paints with an airbrush, transfer the decals over a gloss coat and pick the panel lines out with a wash. On postwar machines clean, strong colors and careful shading of the panels pay off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
