A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Print Scale. It contains national insignia and markings for the American Vought OS2U Kingfisher observation floatplane. The decals are transferred onto a model with water (wet decals) and they serve as an alternative or an addition to the decals from the box. The kit itself has to be obtained separately.
The Vought OS2U Kingfisher was an American observation and rescue floatplane of the Second World War period. It was used by the US Navy, among other things launched by catapult from the decks of battleships and cruisers. It served for observation, for spotting artillery fire and for rescuing downed airmen at sea.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss clear coat, which prevents the silvering effect under the film. Cut the motif out, dip it briefly in lukewarm water and once it has softened slide it onto the surface of the model. Once dry, go over the surface with a matte or satin varnish; for a perfect settling onto the detail a decal softener helps.
