A resin figure, not a vehicle model. The casting shows a driver of the Royal Air Force (RAF) from the Second World War in a pose seated behind the wheel of a light military truck, in 1:48 scale. The figure serves to enliven airfield and ground dioramas; the vehicle itself is not included and is bought separately.
RAF drivers handled the movement of materials, equipment and personnel around the airfields. A figure in the uniform and working dress of the day gives a scene both scale and a story: a driver in place turns an otherwise static vehicle into a living scene. The resin renders the folds of the uniform, the headgear and the pose fitted to sitting in a cab faithfully.
