1:64-1:48 Rolling pin with Handle - Cobblestone Small is a texture roller with a handle from Green Stuff World, with which a cobblestone pattern is impressed into modeling compound. It is not a model but an aid for building dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A roller with a handle from the brand Green Stuff World with an engraved pattern of cobblestones. It serves to impress the structure of paving into modeling compound, which then becomes the groundwork of a diorama, a base or a vignette. It is neither a kit nor a finished part but a tool you use over and over. The name gives a scale range of 1:64 to 1:48, which the size of the stones corresponds to, and variants with a finer and a coarser pattern for other scales are carried in the range alongside it.
The work goes best with polymer modeling compound, two-part epoxy putty or clay. Roll the compound out into an even layer on a board. Before impressing the pattern, moisten the roller and the compound lightly or dust them with talc, so that the material does not stick and the pattern stays sharp. Run the roller smoothly, in one pass and without stopping, otherwise double impressions arise. It is better to leave the edges of the area irregular and to even them up only once it has dried, which looks more natural than a straight edge. After curing, paint the area with a base gray, lighten it with a dry brush and bring out the joints with a dark wash. Clean the roller after use while the compound is still damp; once it has cured the pattern is difficult to clean.
It will be appreciated by diorama builders, figure modelers and tabletop gamers who prepare their own bases and terrain. The use is simple and even a beginner will manage it, and the benefit grows with the number of bases you make for yourself.
Modeling compound, putty and a board are not included in the package. The roller is a tool for repeated use; it is not a part of a model.
