1:700 28 cm SK C/34 barrels, full length - late version are turned metal barrels of the main armament from Flyhawk for models of Scharnhorst class ships in 1:700 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal barrels from Flyhawk in 1:700 scale for the German naval 28 cm SK C/34 gun, this time in the late version and full length. The metal barrels replace the plastic parts of the main turrets of a kit - they are perfectly straight, with a sharply cut muzzle, and they will stand even careless handling that would bend thin plastic.
The 28 cm SK C/34 guns made up the main armament of the battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, each with nine barrels in three triple turrets. They were notable for a high rate of fire and a flat trajectory. The late version of the barrels matches the appearance of the ships in the later period of their service - with Scharnhorst typically the time of her deployment in Norwegian waters up to her loss at the Battle of the North Cape in December 1943.
Cut the plastic barrels off at the face of the turret, drill the holes with a fine drill and seat the barrels dry first - with triple turrets make sure all three barrels have the same elevation. Glue with a small drop of super glue, spray with primer after degreasing and paint according to the camouflage of the period depicted.
This is an accessory set of barrels - the ship kit, glue and paints are not included in the package. We recommend checking compatibility with a particular kit beforehand.
