The Aoshima 1:700 photo-etched set for Bismarck class battleships brings fine metal parts to sharpen up models of this German class.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts from the Aoshima brand in 1:700 scale, meant to sharpen up models of Bismarck class battleships. It is not a ship model, but an add-on set of fine photo-etched parts that replace or complete the details of the basic kit. The set is meant for modelers who want a higher level of detail.
Photo-etched parts make it possible to render items that are hard to produce in injection-molded plastic, for example railings, ladders, radars, cranes or the fine structural details of superstructures. It is precisely these parts that markedly raise the fidelity of ship models of the larger surface units of the German Bismarck class.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends precisely, ideally with a photo-etch bender. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), using small drops for accurate positioning. Before and after gluing it is a good idea to degrease the parts and paint them with an airbrush, because a metal surface needs good preparation.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a stand-alone ship model. Paints, glue and the ship kit are not included in the package.
