HMS York 1941 (1:700) is a resin kit of a British heavy cruiser, intended for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin kit captures the British heavy cruiser HMS York as she was in 1941, in 1:700 scale. The model from the Czech manufacturer ROP is cast in resin and is intended for modelers with experience of resin. The contents of the package follow the actual delivery.
HMS York was the lead ship of the pair of Royal Navy heavy cruisers of the same name, designed as a smaller and more economical version of the earlier County class cruisers. She was committed in the Second World War in the Mediterranean and in March 1941 suffered heavy damage in an attack by Italian explosive motorboats in Suda Bay in Crete; she was lost afterwards. She carried artillery of eight inches and had a characteristic two-funnel silhouette.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand with respiratory protection. Fine elements such as the railings, the cranes and the masts come into their own in photo-etched parts. The model can be built as a waterline model or on a base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
