1:700 IJN Aircraft Carrier Ryuho 1942 from Fujimi is a plastic kit of the Japanese light aircraft carrier Ryuho in her 1942 form, completed according to the name with wooden deck stickers and dry transfers.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi captures the light aircraft carrier Ryuho in her 1942 form, shortly after the conversion was finished. According to the name the package also holds stickers imitating a wooden deck and dry transfers — so the model gains a markedly richer look straight from the box, with no need to buy add-ons.
Ryuho was created by the conversion of the submarine tender Taigei and entered service as a light aircraft carrier at the turn of 1942 and 1943. She served mainly for training and for ferrying aircraft, but also took part in combat operations including the Battle of the Philippine Sea in 1944. She survived to the end of the war, heavily damaged, in home waters.
Paint and finish the surrounding areas before sticking the deck stickers down — apply the stickers to a clean, smooth surface and push the air bubbles out with a soft spreader. Transfer the dry transfers with a blunt burnisher through the cover film. Spray the hull naval gray and bring out the engraved detail with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
