A photo-etched (brass) set of boat davits, the swinging cranes for lowering ship's boats, intended for refining models of Japanese warships in 1:700 scale. This is not a ship kit but a universal detail accessory that replaces coarse plastic davits with fine etched parts. The maker of the set is Hasegawa.
Nip the photo-etched parts out of the fret carefully and bend them where needed. Glue them with cyanoacrylate in small drops. The davits are fitted to the sides of the superstructure at the boat stowage, ideally at the end of the build before the final varnish. Working with tweezers and a magnifier is advisable.
The set is supplied unpainted; paints, glue and a kit are not included in the package.
