Responsibility details are not available.
A resin kit of a waterline model of the Japanese escort ship Ishigaki in 1:700 scale from the Czech maker ROP. The set is intended for experienced modelers and combines cast resin parts with photo-etched metal for the fine details of the superstructure and the armament. Check the exact number of parts and decals in the instructions included.
Ishigaki was one of the Japanese escort ships (kaibokan) of the Shimushu class, built at the end of the 1930s for convoy escort, patrol duty and anti-submarine work. She carried gun and anti-aircraft armament and depth charges. In the version from 1941 the model corresponds to the early configuration of the ship from the beginning of the war in the Pacific.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue both the resin and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). We recommend applying a primer first, then spraying with an airbrush and bringing out the decks and the superstructure with washes and drybrushing. A stand or a base simulating the water surface is a good choice.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
