IJN Yugumo and Kazagumo in 1:700 scale is a plastic kit of a pair of Japanese destroyers of the Yugumo class from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. According to the name there are two models in the package.

A plastic kit in 1:700 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi which, according to the name of the item, contains two models: the destroyers Yugumo and Kazagumo from one class. A double package is usual and handy with small surface units: you build them at once in one painting session, or you keep the second model for completing the escort of a larger formation.
The Yugumo class followed on from the previous Japanese fleet destroyers and represented an improved version of them. They were fast units with a gun armament of 127 mm caliber in twin turrets and with a powerful torpedo armament, which was the main striking weapon of Japanese destroyers of that time. Ships of this class served in the Pacific with fleet formations and on supply and escort duties as well; both units from this package were lost over the course of the fighting.
Destroyers in 1:700 are small, but they have a pronounced silhouette, so it pays to concentrate on a straight hull, cleanly seated funnels and symmetrically fitted masts. Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and sand the traces of the sprue gates down before gluing, because on a finished model you will no longer get to them. Unify the gray finish with an airbrush in thin coats, set the planked deck apart with a warmer tone and soften the transitions with a wash. Railings and radar antennas are ideal candidates for photo-etch, and the projections of vents and small cranes can be sharpened up with thin wire.
The model is supplied as a kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
