Fujimi — wooden deck for IJN Ryujo after the first refit, 1:700 is a set of self-adhesive sheets imitating a wooden deck for the model of the Japanese light aircraft carrier Ryujo in her early form.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive sheets from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi in 1:700 scale that faithfully imitate the wooden areas of the decks on the model of the light aircraft carrier Ryujo. The set matches the appearance of the ship after the first refit and is intended above all for Fujimi kits. The drawn-out painting, scribing and shading of individual planks thus falls away.
Ryujo was a light aircraft carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy, completed in 1933. Because of problems with stability and the excessive weight of her superstructures she went through successive modifications in the 1930s; the set captures the configuration of the ship after the first of those refits, that is her early service form. It is precisely the differences between the individual refit stages that make Ryujo a rewarding modeling subject.
Clean and degrease the surface of the model before application. Lay the sheets on gradually and push the air out with a soft spreader from the center toward the edges. Place the small cut-outs with tweezers. Lay the deck before fitting the superstructures and the small details so that you can reach the edges comfortably.
This is an add-on to a model, not a standalone kit. The base ship model is not included in the package.
