Responsibility details are not available.
Self-adhesive sheets from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi in 1:700 scale imitating the wooden areas of the decks on the model of the light aircraft carrier Ryujo. This set matches the configuration after the second refit, that is the form in which the ship entered the Second World War. It is intended above all for Fujimi kits and will save hours of painting and shading the deck planks.
Ryujo, completed in 1933, went through several modifications because of her stability and overloaded superstructures. After the second refit she gained her definitive service form, in which she operated from December 1941 in the Philippines, the Dutch East Indies and the Indian Ocean. She was sunk in August 1942 in the Battle of the Eastern Solomons. This deck matches precisely that wartime configuration of hers.
Clean and degrease the model before application. Lay the sheets on gradually and push the bubbles out with a spreader from the center toward the edges. The deck first, the superstructures and the armament only afterwards — it makes work on the edges of the cut-outs easier. Place the small segments with tweezers.
This is an add-on to a model, not a standalone kit. The base ship model is not included in the package.
