Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese aircraft carrier Taiho from Tamiya in 1:700 scale from the waterline series. The model shows the hull above the waterline and is built on a flat surface like a ship at sea. The package contains the parts of the hull, the flight deck, the island superstructure and the armament. It is a kit to be assembled and painted, not a finished model.
The Taiho was a modern Japanese aircraft carrier of the Second World War which, as one of the first in the Imperial Japanese Navy, received an armored flight deck for better resistance to bombs. It took part in the fighting in the Pacific in 1944. The model reproduces its characteristic enclosed bow joined to the island and the layout of the flight deck.
A waterline model is built on a flat base. Paint the flight deck in the matching shade with its markings, and the hull and island in naval gray. Glue the small parts of the anti-aircraft armament with cyanoacrylate and clean up the seams. The surface of the flight deck is brought to life by fine weathering and the picking out of the panels. Railings, nets and a stand can be added from the accessory range.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
