K-141 Kursk was a Russian nuclear submarine of project 949A Antey, of the Oscar II class by NATO reporting name. These were large cruise missile submarines with a double hull and a massive silhouette. Kursk entered service in the middle of the 1990s. On August 12, 2000 she was lost after explosions in the Barents Sea; the whole crew died. The model captures the characteristic hull shape of this type of submarine.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand with respiratory protection. The smooth hull of a submarine will repay careful filling of the joints and an even matte or semi-gloss finish. The model can be set on a base or into a water setting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
