An injection-molded plastic kit of the American light aircraft carrier USS Saipan in 1:700 scale from Dragon. The model is supplied as an unassembled kit to be glued and painted. Check the exact contents of the package and the extent of the photo-etched parts against the particular box.
USS Saipan was an American light aircraft carrier, the lead unit of the class of the same name. She served after the Second World War and carried shipboard aircraft as well as helicopters. The subject belongs to the group of light carriers intended to complement the large strike groups.
In 1:700 scale, take care over clean joints and careful deburring of the parts. The hull can be built as a full hull or in a waterline version. An airbrush is the answer for even shades on the deck and the sides; for the railings and the cranes you will appreciate add-on photo-etched parts. Complete the model with a modeling stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
