The T-28 was a Soviet medium tank of the 1930s, built in a multi-turreted arrangement: the main turret with a 76 mm gun was supplemented by smaller turrets with machine guns. It saw fighting at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s, and its tall, broken-up silhouette makes it a striking model that deserves careful markings.
This is a decal sheet in 1:72 scale, that is an accessory for a kit. The first part designation in the name means that the line continues with a further sheet carrying different motifs. The extent of the markings offered, their number and their recommended placing on the vehicle are given in the instructions enclosed with the sheet.
With ordinary sheets one works by the wet method. Varnish the place under a decal with a gloss varnish, let the cut-out motif soften in lukewarm water, slide it off the backing onto the model and draw the excess water off. A softener will help the film adhere to the rivets and edges. Once dry, even the surface out with a matte varnish. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version. A soaked self-adhesive film is irretrievably ruined, whereas a wet decal that has not been soaked can be soaked later.
The sheet will be used by modelers who want to give their T-28 a different look from the one the decal set in the kit offers. In 1:72 scale the markings are small, so a sharp scalpel, tweezers and good light pay off.
The decals are an accessory for a kit which is obtained separately. Paints, varnishes, a softener and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
