This detail accessory from the Czech brand Brengun lifts the interior of the cockpit of an AV-8B Harrier II model to a level an ordinary kit does not reach. The resin castings offer fine, crisp relief that comes out beautifully once painted and lightly shaded - and the cockpit is the most visible part of a model with the canopy open. Note that this is not an aircraft model in its own right but an accessory set intended to be built into a particular kit in 1:72 scale; we recommend checking compatibility with your kit before buying. The AV-8B Harrier II is an American attack aircraft with vertical, or rather short, take-off and landing (V/STOL). It came about through a fundamental redesign of the British Harrier, and from the middle of the 1980s it formed the striking power of the US Marine Corps, though it also flew in Spain and Italy. The characteristic capability of the machine is provided by a Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine with four rotating nozzles; Harriers operated from amphibious ships and field bases and saw action in the Gulf War among others.
Before gluing, wash the parts in warm soapy water so that any mold release agent is removed. Cut off the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a modeling saw and sand the marks down - always use respiratory protection while sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate); ordinary cement for polystyrene will not join resin. Apply a primer coat before painting.
This is an accessory set, not an aircraft model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue and paints are not included in the package.
