An injection-molded plastic kit of the fighter aircraft Bf 109 in the E-3 version. According to the name the boxing is aimed at the machines operating over Spain. The maker is the Czech firm AZ model. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the number of parts, the contents of the package and the number of decal schemes are given on the box and in the instructions.
The Bf 109 of the E series, nicknamed Emil, was an all-metal cantilever low-wing aircraft with retractable landing gear, an enclosed cockpit and a liquid-cooled inverted-V engine with direct fuel injection. It was exactly the direct injection that allowed the aircraft maneuvers with negative g without the engine cutting out. The design was guided by the effort for the smallest and lightest possible airframe around the most powerful possible engine, which showed in the narrow fuselage and the small wing with a high wing loading. The E-3 subvariant is among the first production forms of the E series. The Emils appeared in Spain in the late 1930s, and some of them stayed in the air arm there in the following period as well.
Finish the cockpit and mask the glazing before the fuselage is closed; in a small scale it is the only sensible road to clean framing. Glue the landing gear legs and the spinner sparingly, so that the cement does not damage the fine detail. Camouflage transitions in 1:72 scale are made with thinned paint and a low pressure, or the pattern will optically overpower the model. Apply a gloss varnish before the decals, use a softener so that the decal settles into the scribed lines, and finally unify the surface with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
