This rich sheet of wet (water-activated) decals from the manufacturer DK Decals brings markings for Douglas Boston light bombers in the service of the Royal Air Force over Europe, in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but a decal set for finishing models in the guise of particular machines. The sheet offers a wide choice of camouflage schemes, around fourteen, for the Mk.II, Mk.III and Mk.IV variants, including trials and squadron machines.
The Douglas Boston (known in American service as the A-20 Havoc) was a twin-engined light bomber and attack aircraft. In the RAF it served above all with day bomber squadrons, which flew low-level raids against targets in occupied Europe. The Boston was valued for its speed, its handling and its toughness.
