An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese Shenzhou-10 spacecraft in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The set represents the spacecraft together with the Tiangong-1 orbital module and holds over sixty parts, decals, two cosmonaut figures and a display stand. The parts are molded in several colors of plastic, so the spacecraft can be built even without painting.
Shenzhou-10 was a crewed mission of the Chinese space program that in 2013 carried a crew of three to the Tiangong-1 orbital laboratory. The Shenzhou type is based conceptually on a three-module arrangement - orbital, reentry and service - with a pair of solar panels. Tiangong-1 was the first Chinese orbital station, used for trials of rendezvous and docking in orbit.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Even though the plastic is close in color to the real thing, painting will raise the result - it pays in particular to bring out the gold and silver areas of the solar panels and the thermal insulation with metallic paints over a smooth base. Apply a primer before painting; put the decals onto a smooth glossy surface. The stand makes it possible to display the model in a dynamic attitude.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
