This set brings miniature replicas of steel bottles for compressed oxygen in 1:72 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft or of a vehicle but a resin accessory intended to fill out and bring a diorama or a vignette to life. Bottles with compressed gas belonged to the common equipment of parking aprons, workshops and service facilities, where they served for example for welding and for maintaining equipment.
The set is ideal for complementing a scene around a standing aircraft, by a hangar or in the setting of a field workshop. Small props of this kind give a diorama scale, context and credibility — they tell the viewer that this is a living workplace and not merely a display model.
First wash the resin castings in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap to remove the remains of the mold release agent. Carefully cut off the casting blocks with a saw or break them off and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For a realistic appearance, metallic shades, a fine hint of rust and emphasis on the valves prove their worth; color bands according to the type of gas help to tell the bottles apart.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
