Responsibility details are not available.
The Folland Gnat is a British light fighter with a single turbojet. It grew out of the idea that a smaller and simpler machine is cheaper to buy and to operate, and its dimensions really are tiny by the standards of the day. The FR designation refers to the reconnaissance version, that is to a machine equipped for photography. This kit carries Finnish colors.
It is a plastic kit in 1:72 scale supplied unassembled and unpainted. At this scale the Gnat comes out as a small model, where the result is decided by the little things: the cleanliness of the joints, the thinness of the trailing edges and the look of the canopy glazing.
Before you reach for the cement, test the parts dry, above all the joint of the fuselage with the wing and the seating of the canopy. Paint and finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage; after that you cannot get inside. Tape the canopy glazing with a mask before spraying and apply the paint in thin coats so that the panel lines do not disappear. On a small model it pays to sand the joints lightly several times rather than coarsely once.
Paints, glue and other tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
