A decal sheet in 1:72 scale with the badge of Försökscentralen, the Swedish establishment associated with the testing of aircraft. According to the name it contains four pieces of the badge. It is not a model of an aircraft, but an accessory with which to finish a model of a particular machine. The same motif also exists in a larger scale, so you can choose according to what you happen to be building.
In 1:72 scale a unit badge is only a patch a few millimeters across, yet it is exactly such details that decide whether a model reads as a particular aircraft. Four pieces on the sheet leave room for several models as well as for one failed attempt.
Small decals call for a different technique from large national insignia. Do not cut them with scissors freehand - lay the sheet on a hard surface and go around the motif with a scalpel. Handle them with smooth-jawed tweezers, or better still with a moistened brush, on which the decal is held by surface tension and will not be broken. Dip them in water for an instant only; small decals release quickly and with a longer soak the film rolls up. Move them on the model with a brush, not with a finger. Use only a drop of decal softener; small areas are sensitive to it and a strong dose will wrinkle the film.
The decals are supplied on their own. The model, clear coat and decal softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
