Injection-molded plastic kit of the French Fouga CM.170 Magister jet trainer in 1:72 scale from Airfix. The model is marked out by its characteristic butterfly V-tail, and thanks to its straightforward build it suits less experienced modelers too.
The Fouga CM.170 Magister was a French two-seat jet trainer that became one of the first jet basic trainers to enter military service. It made its name with its unmistakable butterfly tail and spread to a whole range of countries, where it served both for pilot training and for light combat duties. Aerobatic teams also used it, so it appeared in striking color schemes.
Work with thin cement for plastic and finish the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Apply a primer before painting and put the paint on with an airbrush. Rich colors and gloss varnishes come to life on the aerobatic schemes. Apply the decals over a gloss base and then either flatten the whole model or leave it glossy, depending on the finish. Keep the weathering on trainers restrained.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
