Pre-cut self-adhesive painting masks Peewit for the Fouga CM-175 Zéphyr in 1:72 scale. This is not a model but a set of masks for spraying the glazing and the other surfaces cleanly.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the French Fouga CM-175 Zéphyr carrier-based jet trainer in 1:72 scale. This is not a kit but an accessory that makes painting easier. The masks are die-cut from masking material and they follow the shape of the cockpit frames and of the other clear parts, so the lengthy cutting of tape is avoided.
The Zéphyr was a two-seat trainer of the French naval aviation derived from the land-based Magister type. Compared with it, it received an arrestor hook, a strengthened undercarriage and a structure modified for operation from aircraft carriers. It was used to train carrier pilots and it flew, among other things, from the ships Clemenceau and Foch until the 1990s.
Lift the masks carefully off the sheet with pointed tweezers and place them precisely on the appropriate frames. Press the edges down properly so that the paint does not run underneath. First spray the glazing with the interior color, then with the covering shade of the fuselage. Apply the paint in thin coats and remove the mask while the finish has only just set – the edges then stay sharp. Wipe off any adhesive residue with a damp cloth.
The set contains masks only. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
