An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-7 in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker Mistercraft. The model captures the late radial-engined version of the A series in the markings of a fighter unit of JG 1. The box holds decals for several marking options. It is a kit of older cut, where careful cleanup of the parts and fine-tuning of the joints are worth the effort.
The Fw 190A was the radial-engined version of the famous German Focke-Wulf fighter. The A-7 version brought strengthened onboard armament and revised equipment, and it was used in the defensive fighting over the Reich as well as on the fronts of the Second World War. The JG 1 fighter wing was among the units that flew Focke-Wulf A machines of this period in the defense of the airspace.
With older molds reckon on cleaning the parts up and removing flash before gluing. Use thin cement on the plastic, finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage and fill and sand any gaps. A combination of gray shades suits German camouflage; bring out the panel lines with a wash and unify the surface with a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
