Turned barrel for the PaK 35/36 in 1:72 scale from Aber, the early version, 37 mm caliber. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal barrel of 37 millimeter caliber in 1:72 scale for a model of the German PaK 35/36 anti-tank gun in its early version. It is not a kit but a replacement for the plastic part. At this scale the barrel of the gun is very slender, so the plastic part is either too thick or breaks, and turned metal is the only way to get a straight profile with an open muzzle.
At the beginning of the Second World War the PaK 35/36 was the standard German anti-tank gun. Light, easy to move and easy to hide, it could pierce the armor of light vehicles. But once more heavily protected machines reached the battlefield it turned out that its shell was not enough for them, and the soldiers gave it a well-known mocking nickname. With infantry units it nevertheless stayed in service for a long time and appears in photographs from every front.
Cut the plastic barrel off as close to the carriage as possible and drill the hole exactly to the diameter of the pin. Degrease the metal with alcohol and apply a primer. Meter out the glue with the tip of a wire, because at a small scale any excess overflows at once. Check that the barrel points straight seen from above as well, because the carriage of the gun is symmetrical and a deviation shows. Fit the barrel at the end of the build.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
