This plastic kit in 1:72 scale brings together the German heavy anti-aircraft gun 8.8 cm Flak 36 and a railway flatcar of the SSYS type. The set from the manufacturer T-Model contains the parts for the wagon and for the gun itself; it is the version with a wooden load floor. The package is meant to be glued and painted.
The 8.8 cm Flak 36 gun was among the best-known German weapons of the Second World War. It served as an anti-aircraft and an anti-tank gun alike, and in the railway version it allowed quick movement and the defense of lines, stations and military transports. Mounting it on a heavy flatcar made it a mobile firing asset that could be deployed wherever it was needed at the time.
Assemble the running gear and the frame of the wagon first, and only then the detailed carriage of the gun. We recommend liquid cement for plastic and careful cleanup of the fine parts. For a faithful look, a primer, an airbrush and then washes and pigments work well to bring out the wooden deck, the rivets and the traces of service. The gun and the wagon can be treated as a small railway diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
