This item is not a model but a set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It will complete a kit of the Grumman Martlet II fighter with the national insignia and markings of British naval aviation. Martlet II was the British designation of the American F4F-4 Wildcat fighter in service with the Fleet Air Arm.
The Grumman Martlet II was the British name for the F4F-4 Wildcat carrier fighter delivered to Great Britain. It was a tough machine with a radial engine and six machine guns, and with British naval aviation it served both from land bases and from the decks of aircraft carriers. The British machines carried their own camouflage and national insignia, different from the American Wildcats.
Coat the surface under the decals with gloss varnish so that the edges do not turn white. Dip the subject in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the model. A decal softener will help the decal wrap around detail, and a final coat of varnish will even the surface out.
This is a decal set, not a model. A separate Martlet II or F4F-4 kit in 1:72 scale is needed to use it. The paints, the glue and the varnish are not included in the package.
