A sheet of water-slide decals in 1:72 scale from Star Decals. It is not a model but a set of markings for finished plastic models of German vehicles that the units of the French resistance (FFI) captured and used. The set covers the late PzKpfw IV Ausf. H, the SdKfz 251 Ausf. D half-track, the Panzerwerfer 42, the heavy Tiger I tank and the JgPz 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer.
During the liberation of France the FFI units gained a quantity of German hardware, which after re-marking they committed against its former owners. Captured vehicles carried improvised French insignia, names and recognition markings, often painted over the original German fit.
Varnish the base to a gloss. Cut the piece out, dip it in lukewarm water and, once it has released, slide it onto the model. On texture use a decal softener and go over the finished markings with a clear varnish of the gloss you have chosen.
This is a set of decals. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
