A collector model of the F-84G Thunderjet jet aircraft in Italian markings, 1:72 scale, maker Easy Model. The model is finished: assembled, painted and marked from the factory. It is not a kit, so gluing, filling and spraying all fall away and the model is ready to display as soon as it is unpacked.
The Thunderjet was one of the first postwar jet aircraft of American manufacture to enter service with European states. The G version had a straight wing, the engine in the fuselage and the intake in the nose, and large wingtip tanks served for reaching more distant targets. The aircraft was used mainly for supporting ground forces and for training pilots on jet aircraft, because it was simple in design and fairly undemanding mechanically.
Building a model presupposes time, a workspace and equipment, that is glue, filler, abrasives and ideally an airbrush as well. A finished model skips that part. What you get is an example that is ready to display straight away and whose finish is consistent. That suits you when you collect by type, that is when you want each type or national standard once without spending dozens of hours at the bench for it.
