Fujimi 1:72 1/2 t light truck, military police is a plastic kit of a Japanese military utility vehicle in the version for military police units.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a light truck of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force in 1:72 scale, issued in the release for military police units. The figure 1/2 t in the name designates the load class of the vehicle, not the scale. A release for ordinary ground units is issued under a code of its own alongside it, so when ordering, make sure which version you want.
Military police vehicles differ from ordinary service vehicles mainly in their external markings and in equipment for traffic and order duty, not in their construction. The basis is a light four-wheel truck with all-wheel drive derived from a civilian subject, with a closed cab and an open rear. In garrison and airfield scenes a vehicle like this appears commonly at entrances, checkpoints and convoys.
In this scale the result is decided above all by a thin layer of paint - a heavy layer floods the engraving and the model then looks like a plastic toy. Prime lightly, spray with an airbrush and lighten the upper surfaces so that the model is not lost in shadow. The lettering and the military police markings are the main visual element on this type of vehicle, so lay the decals onto a glossy base and let decal softener settle them to the surface; only then even the whole model out with a flat coat. The cab glazing is small, so it pays to mask it with tape and clear coat it together with the body.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
