Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Riich Models brand in a special limited edition. According to the name, the package covers a pair of vehicles that in practice form one unit: the M109A2 self-propelled howitzer and the armored M992 vehicle intended to bring up ammunition and pass it over. Pairs like that are exactly what makes sense in 1:72 scale: on a small area they make a scene that one vehicle on its own cannot carry.
The M109 is an American tracked 155 mm self-propelled howitzer with a rotating turret, which has gone through a long series of modernizations since the 1960s; the M109A2 version brought a reworked turret and an improved gun system. The M992 vehicle was created on the same chassis, but instead of armament it carries a supply of ammunition and the machinery to pass it into the howitzer, so that the crew does not have to carry rounds by hand. Both vehicles were used in the US Army and with a number of other users.
In 1:72 scale the parts are small, so snip them off the sprue with good nippers and level the sprue remnants with a file, not with a knife. Glue with thin cement for plastic applied by capillary action from a fine brush. Finish and paint the running gear and the inside of the hull before you close the whole thing up; after that a brush will not get in there. Apply a primer before painting; it unifies the surface and reveals unfinished seams. On a single-color green or sand scheme, lightening the centers of the large surfaces, a wash in the seams and finally pigments on the running gear, which give the vehicle dust and mud, all work well. Lay the decals on a gloss base and go over them with a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
