The M6 Linebacker is the air defense variant of the American M2 Bradley tracked infantry fighting vehicle. It is based on the hull and turret of the Bradley, but instead of the launcher for anti-tank guided missiles it carries a launch container for infrared-guided anti-aircraft missiles on the side of the turret. The rest of the vehicle stays essentially the same as the Bradley: a tracked chassis with torsion bar suspension, an aluminum hull with add-on protection and the same powerplant. The vehicle appeared in the armament of the US Army in the 1990s and was later largely converted back to the standard Bradley version.
In 1:72 scale clean work on small parts is what decides: use a thin cement for plastic applied with a fine brush and cut the parts off rather than breaking them out. Assemble and paint the running gear before you close the hull up and fit the tracks — after that you can no longer reach it. After the base, apply a primer over the whole model, so that the paint holds on smooth areas too. Make the panel shadows with a dark wash that runs into the engraved lines, and finally dust the surface with pigments, because a tracked vehicle without dust looks unconvincing. Apply the decals onto a gloss clear coat and go over them with a matte one.
