A vacuum-formed clear canopy for the 1:72 MiG-15 from Rob Taurus, in the open and closed version. A clear replacement for the cockpit canopy of this jet fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a modeling accessory, not a model of an aircraft. It contains a vacuum-formed clear cockpit canopy for the MiG-15 jet fighter in 1:72 scale, in a version for showing the cockpit either closed or open. The thin, clean part replaces the original glazing from the kit.
The MiG-15 was a Soviet single-seat jet fighter of the end of the 1940s, one of the first successful jet aircraft with a swept wing. It became famous for its service in the Korean War and served for a long time with a range of air forces, including the Czechoslovak one.
Cut the canopy out outside the engraved edge and sand it down. Dipping it in a gloss varnish improves the clarity. Glue with thin PVA glue or a special glue for canopies, which does not fog clear areas. For a striking open cockpit it pays to work up the cockpit interior.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The glue, the paints and the base model are not included in the package.
