1:72 Mig-25 RBF BASIC (ICM)

A set of masks for the MiG-25RBF in 1:72 scale, the Basic variant

A basic set of precisely cut masking films from New Ware for kits of the MiG-25RBF in 1:72 scale. The Basic variant covers the most laborious places of a spray, the cabin glazing and the landing gear wheels, and so is the quickest route to a clean result.

The real subject

The MiG-25 was a Soviet twin-engine aircraft built for extreme speeds over Mach 2.8 and for great altitudes. Alongside the interceptor fighter versions, a family of single-seat reconnaissance-bomber machines of the RB line also came about; the RBF version differed from the others in the make-up of its reconnaissance and electronic equipment. In 1:72 scale it is a surprisingly large model, on which clean framing of the cabin markedly lifts the overall impression.

Use

• Lift the mask off with tweezers and lay it on a clean, degreased surface.
• Smooth the edges down so that paint does not creep under, and spray light coats.
• Once the paint has dried, carefully remove the film.
• The wheel masks ensure a sharp division between the hub and the tire even in a small scale.

Who it is for

For modelers building the MiG-25RBF in 1:72 scale who want to save time on masking and reach sharp lines. In a small scale, outlining frames by hand is especially demanding, so experienced builders will appreciate the masks too.

This is a masking accessory, not a standalone model kit. The set is intended for particular kits of the given type; check compatibility with your kit before ordering.
