A plastic kit of the French experimental Mirage III V aircraft, specifically of the second prototype V-02, in 1:72 scale from Modelsvit. The model captures an unusual machine with vertical take-off and landing and is a rewarding subject for collectors of aviation prototypes.
The Mirage III V was a French experimental supersonic aircraft investigating vertical take-off and landing. A battery of lift engines placed in the fuselage alongside the main powerplant served that purpose. The V-02 prototype followed on from the first machine of the program; the whole project remained at the research stage and never reached series production.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic and smooth the transitions on the fuselage carefully. On prototypes a natural metal or light finish suits, and fine panel lines stand out on it. After spraying the primer, lay the base color on with an airbrush and seat the decals on a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
