Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic model of the small German sporting aircraft from the Czech brand AML. The kit is designated for the Si 202A and Si 202B versions, and in 1:72 scale it makes a truly miniature but all the more charming model of a kind you will not meet on display tables very often.
The Siebel Si 202 Hummel was a light two-seat aircraft from the end of the 1930s, intended for sporting flying and basic training. The crew sat side by side in a glazed cabin, the construction was simple and the aircraft was powered by small engines of only a few tens of horsepower; the individual versions differed from one another above all in the powerplant. Thanks to its undemanding operation the Hummel appeared in German flying clubs and flying schools, where it served as an attainable aircraft for the first hours at the controls.
A small scale and small parts call for tweezers, glue applied drop by drop and patience. On civil aircraft clean, glossier surfaces and carefully applied registration markings come into their own; light shades stand out on a smoothly sanded and degreased base. We recommend masking the cabin pane by pane and gluing the clear parts with a glue that leaves no marks, for instance a PVA one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
