A resin set from the Czech manufacturer AML for kits of the Sukhoi Su-2 aircraft in 1:72 scale. It combines conversion parts for both engine variants, the M-82 and the M-88B, and adds a decal sheet. It is an accessory for a base kit, not a stand-alone model.
The Sukhoi Su-2 was a Soviet single-engine light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft with a crew of two. The standard production aircraft were powered by the M-88B radial engine, but part of the production received the more powerful fourteen-cylinder M-82 with a different, bulkier engine cowling. The combined set therefore gives the modeler freedom of choice: depending on the markings and the period chosen, either form can be built, or the parts can be divided between two kits.
First decide which parts you will use for the variant you have chosen, as the two noses differ in shape and in the way they seat on the fuselage. Wash the resin, cut off the casting blocks, fill the transitions and sand them with your airways protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue and settle the decals on a gloss base with a decal softener.
The set is an accessory; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
