A finished collector model of the Super Lynx shipborne helicopter in Fleet Air Arm markings with the number 410 and the Blue Rhino name, 1:72 scale, maker Easy Model. The model is supplied assembled and painted, markings included, so there is nothing to finish on it: nothing is glued, filled or sprayed.
Super Lynx is the designation for the modernized shipborne standard of the Lynx helicopter, with more powerful engines and revised main rotor blades. The machine is adapted to operating from the small decks of surface ships, so it has strengthened landing gear and a folding tail section. In service with the Fleet Air Arm it was used for reconnaissance, anti-submarine duties and support of operations over the sea.
The Lynx helicopter was used by a number of navies and the individual standards differ from one another in finish, markings and small points of equipment. Standing a British and a continental machine side by side therefore makes sense in a display case: the differences are apparent at first glance and yet it is one basic type. With finished models that costs no extra work, only room on a shelf. Place the models so that the rotor blades do not overlap, otherwise you will easily catch one while pulling the other out.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. No glue or paints are needed. We recommend an enclosed display case and protection from direct sun.
