Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet support tank on the T-26 chassis in 1:72 scale from Mirage Hobby. The model represents the version armed with the 76.2 mm gun and intended for artillery support.
The T-26 was the most widely used Soviet light tank of the 1930s. The support version carried a powerful 76.2 mm gun in an enlarged turret, which let it give the infantry fire support against fortifications and soft targets where the light 45 mm gun of the standard version fell short. The vehicle kept the same lower hull and running gear as the ordinary T-26.
In this small scale work with a sharp knife and a fine file, and glue the parts with thin cement for plastic. Prime the model before painting. Soviet green comes alive with gentle lightening of the surfaces, a wash in the detail and dry weathering on the running gear. A thin wash in the panel lines will bring out the engraved detail.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
