This modern injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the British Hawker Tempest Mk.V fighter aircraft in the markings of No. 486 New Zealand Squadron. The tooling is designed with current 3D technology with fine engraving and clean parts, and the box holds clear parts and decals for the machines of this unit. Alternative parts make it possible to build different Tempest variants.
The Hawker Tempest Mk.V was one of the highest-performing piston fighters of the late Second World War. No. 486 Squadron, made up of New Zealand pilots within the Royal Air Force, was among the units that became famous with Tempests above all in the defense against V-1 missiles and in the fighting over western Europe in 1944 and 1945.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid polystyrene cement and dry fit the joints first. Before airbrush painting, a filler primer is worth using, with a gloss coat under the decals and a matte coat over them. Do not forget the typical identification stripes of the invasion aircraft.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
