The real subject

The Skyline GT-R with the internal designation BNR32 returned to the Nissan range in 1989 after a long break. It is powered by an inline turbocharged six-cylinder RB26DETT with a pair of turbochargers, the power goes to all four wheels through the ATTESA E-TS system, and the rear axle is steered by the Super HICAS system. The car was built from the start with Group A circuit racing homologation in mind, and it was there that it earned its reputation. The body of the two-door coupe has the typically angular profile of the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, wide fenders and four round tail lights.

Building and painting tips

Sort the sprues first and assemble the chassis with the drivetrain, and only then close the body up. Glue the parts with a thin plastic cement, which wicks into the seam and leaves no marks. It pays to sand the body before painting, spray a filler primer and lay the paint on in thin coats. Gloss finishes on cars forgive little, so count on polishing the final surface. Apply the decals onto a gloss base and seal them with clear once dry, so that their edges are not visible.
