Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the hardtop Toyota Corona in 2000GT trim of 1982, in 1:24 scale. The model is made by Aoshima of Japan as part of its wide range of Japanese production cars. The kit is meant to be glued and painted, and the contents of the package and the number of parts are not stated here.
The Corona was the backbone of Toyota's mid-size class for decades, and the generation built in the first half of the 1980s brought angular shapes, large glazed areas and richer equipment. The hardtop body is laid out as a four-door with a lowered roofline and no fixed pillar between the side windows, which gives it a markedly lower and more elegant profile than an ordinary sedan. The 2000GT trim level formed the more sportingly tuned top of the range. The internal code RT141 denotes a particular combination of body and power unit.
On a hardtop it pays to give attention to the window frames and the chrome trim, because it is exactly those that create the character of the real car. The chrome can be suggested by masking and silver paint, or else by a thin adhesive foil. Finish the chassis and the interior before you close the body up. Lay the paint on in thin coats over a filler primer, and with the period metallic shades count on a covering gloss clear coat. Apply the decals onto a gloss base and use a decal softener so that they settle into the pressings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
