Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese maker Aoshima. The subject is the Toyota Crown of the GRS202 series in police guise for traffic supervision of 2010. The set is intended to be assembled and painted; the contents of the package are given in the instructions in the box.
In Japan the Crown is a traditional choice for service and official vehicles and police fleets have used it for a long time. The 200 series generation, to which the GRS202 designation belongs as well, was built from the second half of the first decade of this century and offered a comfortable but powerful upper-class sedan. Vehicles for traffic supervision tend to be fitted with equipment for speed measurement and communication and have a characteristic two-tone guise with warning equipment on the roof.
White is the most demanding shade to apply, because it covers badly and brings out every defect of the base. Use a light filler primer, therefore, sand it and apply the white in really thin coats, four of them if need be. A heavy coat easily ripples into orange peel and runs into the corners of parts. Mask the dark part of the scheme only once the white has cured completely, ideally after several days. Leave the roof beacons and the translucent parts to the end and glue them with liquid cement drop by drop so that they do not go dull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
