1:48 Sikorsky MH-60L Black Hawk is an Eduard masking set for the outer side of the glazing of a model of the American helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Eduard holds die-cut shapes for the glazing of a model of a special operations helicopter in 1:48 scale. It covers the outside of the glazing; the double-sided version for the same machine is listed separately by the manufacturer under the TFace designation.
The cabin has low-set windshields, side cut-outs, a window in the sliding door and vision ports above the pilots' heads. Together that makes a series of variously curved surfaces with thin frames, which take a long time to trace with tape and seldom come out exactly. A special forces machine is moreover usually in a dark finish, where every overrun is seen at once.
Leave the glazing in its frame and press the shape down through a piece of paper, so that no greasy fingerprint is left on the film. Apply the paint in two thin coats with a pause between them. If it does get under the edge after all, a pass along the edge of the glass with a stick dipped in thinner is enough once the mask is off. Store the clear parts wrapped up until painting, as a scratch on the glass is harder to put right than a mistake in the paintwork. The last check belongs to the seating edge of the door, where inaccuracy shows up first.
Neither the helicopter nor the paints are in this item.
