A full-color print of an instrument panel with a three-dimensional structure from the maker Kits-World. It is printed on decal paper, so it is not glued into a model but transferred as a decal. It is intended for the cockpit of a model in the large scale, where the interior is clearly visible once it is finished.
With the late versions of the same type the layout and the extent of the instruments differ from the earlier guises, so the designation of the version in the name of the product is the main guide when buying. Several instrument panels exist for one type of aircraft and they look similar in a photograph; what decides is the exact designation and the part number. If you are not sure, compare the shape of the plastic part in your own kit with the outline of the print before sanding.
The design belongs on the surface of the panel, not on the frame above it. Sand the raised cast dials flat, smooth the surface and varnish it with a gloss varnish. Soak the decal briefly in warm water, transfer it with a brush, straighten it against the outline and push the water out from under it. Apply the softener drop by drop and with pauses: a layered print reacts differently from a thin decal and oversoaked it ripples. Once it is dry, go over the surroundings with a matte varnish and bring the individual glasses to life with a gloss varnish. Tune the neighboring sprayed surfaces so that they match the printed panel in color.
