Rolling Pin FAR GALAXY

Rolling Pin Far Galaxy, a Textured Rolling Pin

A textured rolling pin from Green Stuff World with the relief pattern of the Far Galaxy range, that is with a motif referring to space and science fiction settings. It is a tool, not a model and not a kit: the pattern is transferred with it by rolling into rolled-out modeling compound, and the resulting sheet is then cut into bases, paving and areas of terrain.

Use

• Roll polymer compound, two-part modeling putty or clay out into an even sheet on a smooth surface.
• Lightly coat both the rolling pin and the compound with a release agent, for example water with a drop of detergent or talc, so that the surface does not tear.
• Impress the pattern in one smooth pass with no extra pressure; rolling repeatedly over the same place smudges the image.
• Cut out the shape of the base or the piece while the compound is still soft, level the edges and let it cure according to the type of material.
• Spray the finished surface with primer and bring out the edges of the relief with a dry brush, otherwise the texture will be lost in an unbroken color.

Who it is for

For players and modelers who make their own bases for figures or who build terrain for tabletop battle games and want a series of pieces with a matching surface. A rolling pin does in a few minutes the work that hand engraving takes hours over, and the result is consistent across a unit. A pattern on a space theme suits armies and scenes from a science fiction setting, where paving or natural terrain would look out of place.

The rolling pin is a tool for repeated use. Modeling compound, paints and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
